What I meant by that was while there is depth to many of the textures, there are many more that remain flat. You can see a screenshot above where I show off the depth on the floor at the end of episode 1.

The only thing I’d like to correct is what you write about lack of bump mapping. Actually, we use normal mapping which is available when using the EDuke32 Polymer renderer. If you take a look at some screenshots on our homepage (http://hrp.duke4.net/media.php), you can clearly see how structured the textures look with the correct settings.

Please keep checking back for updates on the project. While it is maybe done by 80-85% by now (only very few models and textures are missing, mostly in the later episodes of the full game), there is always something to fix, improve, replace.

A maintenance release for the HRP is scheduled for Xmas 2012 btw, so stay tuned. ^^
