Even some of the lowest-end desktop GPUs allow you to hook up three monitors and use the GPU driver to configure them. I’m wondering if one of Matrox’s products would help you out? They are kind of pricey though. Plus, I am not sure how much gaming you plan to do, but a 640M is definitely not going to be suitable for multi-display gaming. Even the desktop equivalent of that card would be crying.

Thanks a lot for the updates!

http://www.kegetys.fi/forum/index.php?topic=2123.0).

It’s easy to use (initially just drop in a DLL) and does as it says but may require a lot of tweaking to get it to look just right. A big negative is the software is no longer developed (however the source code has been released FWIW) and only supports DX9. Also my performance was dirt poor…so probably if you don’t have the hardware to support the NVIDIA/ATI native solutions then you may not be happy with the performance of this third party solution anyway. It could be more useful with older games perhaps. As for me, I’m not going to spend the time to try to tweak it as I likely won’t be happy with the framerates at the end.

I looked through some of the highest-end models over at GeForce.com and none of them specifically mention it.

I can’t see why third-party solutions like the one you linked wouldn’t work just fine, though. Interested in hearing your findings. It’s not a problem I’ve put much thought into!

So as mentioned the problem is not all NVIDIA chipsets support surround (including mine). However I just found some 3rd party possibilities:

I have not tried any of that yet but will report back once I do. Thanks!

It might not be done through the NVIDIA control panel itself but rather OS X’s display settings.

Just a PhysX section (no surround or SLI stuff). It’s a GeForce 640M using Apple customized drivers on a 2012 iMac running bootcamp. Should I install the “generic” NVIDIA drivers?
