Great look, Kay! I love the V300... quite a nice value drive.

What I gleaned most from your results is just how much of a difference the on-board (as in, motherboard) controller can make. Your overall AS SSD result for the V4 was 628, while on Robert's test platform (using an Intel controller), it's 1,060. Likewise, the V300 scored 407; on his, 500. Of course, throughput isn't everything - I suspect that on a cleanly erased drive, the IOPS -should- still fare similarly between platforms.

Marvell's SATA controllers sure do rub me the wrong way...
