Default According to the W3C, we'll see HTML5 by 2014

Yeah, this is a headline I had to do a double-take on as well. Despite us hearing about HTML5 for what seems like forever and the fact our browsers can take good advantage of it today, the W3C is aiming for 2014 as the year where it will be completely finalized.

Seems so ridiculous. Two years away for the finalization of a technology we're currently using.
Intel Core i7-3960X, GIGABYTE G1.Assassin 2, Kingston 16GB DDR3-2133, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 2GB
Kingston HyperX 3K 240GB SSD (OS, Apps), WD VR 1TB (Games), Corsair 1000HX, Corsair H70 Cooler
Corsair 800D, Dell 2408WFP 24", ASUS Xonar Essence STX, Gentoo (KDE 4.11. 3.12 Kernel)

Yup completely ridiculous that people implemented something that is not even a standard yet and could change at a moments notice. Not the thought you were looking for was it?
