Default Intel Launches Quad-Core "Tigerton"

With Barcelona having the wraps taken off on Monday, it's no surprise to see Intel come along with new releases directly before it happens. It's going to be an interesting week, next week, as many sites will be finally delivering Barcelona performance reports.

It's difficult at this point to imagine that Barcelona will blow us away, but I am still hoping for a solid showing from AMD. Given the fact that the fastest Barca chip available will be 2.0GHz, I have a gut feeling that overclocking is not going to be a great deal of fun. Hopefully I am wrong.

One thing is for sure, with these prices, I am glad I don't need to run massive servers ;-)
