Lamptron CCFL's with built-in micro inverter
I read about Lamptron's "Spectral Bar" on the Overclock.net forums, and they're kind of interesting. It's a CCFL as the title suggests, but what makes them interesting is that the inverter is built-in. That means there will be no ridiculous box to find room for inside your chassis, enabling you to keep an even cleaner look. Or in the "case" of smaller builds, an external inverter might be even more of an issue.
Price is around $13, so they're a bit expensive, but worth it depending on your needs. If there's a real downside it's that they're 12.6" long... making it a little difficult to work with in certain areas of the chassis... maybe.
