Default NVIDIA's GeForce 285.38 Beta Drivers Boost Battlefield 3 Performance By 38%

In advance of the Battlefield 3 closed beta which begins tomorrow, and the open beta which begins two days later, NVIDIA has released a new beta GeForce driver specifically aimed at improving performance with the game. According to the company's tests, this driver can improve performance up to 38% compared to the recently-released 285.27 driver.

well i guess that means that the recommended hardware should change.. .but wont and they will still say we should use SLI

Downloading now. I knew Nvidia & AMD were gonna have special drivers for BF3 but I didn't think it would be until release. Thanks Rob!

Performance measured vs. GeForce 285.27 driver on GeForce GTX 570 at 2650x1600 (DX11).

That's a hell of a performance jump for just a 570! I wish they told us what the SLI performance gain was.

I can't wait. With 2-580s in surround sli I am drooling right now....
