I totally agree. I copy things to a thumb drive for family members often, so to be able to copy to a thumb drive that's at least 2x as fast is quite nice. Of course, you have to realize that unless you're copying -from- an SSD, you could probably do with a more modest USB 3.0 drive since any mechanical drive would become a bottleneck well before the drive's peak.

This is definitely something I'd consider when purchasing my next flash drive...the price is right on target for what I'd be willing to pay for those speeds...which is nice! It's not breaking any huge "new" ground, and that's fine, but it's the first point that you can get that speed in that package at that price...which is really when I start to sit up and take note.

I need a new USB flash drive... this may very well fill that need. The price premium seems worth it, at least to me. It'll make installing OS distros significantly faster.

That is such a sleek well done design. I've had these Kingston sticks for forever. I guess that is somewhat a testament to their durability? The definitely need replacing though. I don't know if I saw a post here or elsewhere about the USB 3.0 standards being significantly improved in the coming year to compete with other tech. I'd hate to buy a thumb and then have the thumb upgraded to a new standard, I get beat up like that often enough with Apple products! =]
