If you’re in the market for a new gaming headset, there is certainly no shortage of them available to choose from. However, if you add wireless to the mix, then that becomes an entirely different story. On one hand, there are a good collection of wireless cans out there, but many of them are extremely hit-or-miss – with there unfortunately being more misses than there really should be. With its brand-new G533 Wireless Gaming Headset, Logitech believes it firmly lands in the “hit” category.
Interestingly, these cans feature Logitech’s own drivers, called Pro-G, which support DTS 7.1 surround sound audio. Perhaps the best part? This wireless headset is able to last up to 15 hours of continuous use before needing a recharge. It’s not mentioned how long the headset takes to charge, but we can assume that if you charge at least every two days (or one if you are a seriously hardcore gamer), you’ll never have to worry about your audio dying (don’t worry, you can keep track of the charge in Logitech’s accompanying software).
The G533 supports sending audio at up to 15 meters away from the base, even if electro-magnetic interference is high. Adding to this, the headset is designed for super low latency communication, so you should never experience any perceivable lag between the audio and video.
These noise-canceling cans come complete with controls for fine-tuning the sound to best suit your preference, and the included (foldable) mic has an auto-mute feature to prevent audio lulls from being transmitted to your teammates.
Logitech is pricing its G533 at $149.99, and it’s expected to become available later this month.
