I was a bit skeptical about so called surround sound headphones before I wrote this review. After using these daily for over ten days I have to say I doubt no more. So lets take a listen.

Movies:

I know my neighbors really appreciated these headphones as much as I did. The sound was amazingly close to my Home Theater System. You could clearly hear the separation of the channels, front, left, right, and the same for the rear channels. Awesome sound reproduction for a pair of headphones. If you live at home these will keep the complaints about noise to zero.

Music:

This was my personal favorite use of the ZM-RS6F+Ms. The music was so crisp and clear and it sounded as if you were surrounded by the group that was playing. I literally heard things I had not heard before . Little nuances like a vocal part or guitar riff that seems muted unless you have these headphones on. The music seemed, for lack of a better word, fuller or richer in its depth.

Games:

Well everybody needs an edge when gaming and you get exactly that with these headphones. I was able to hear directional movement with ease. Anyone sneaking up on me didnt have a chance. The game sounds were intense. Gun fire and explosions rocked, literally. I felt as if I were right there in the middle of the action. Planes or helicopters flying by sounded like they really just flew by. Back to front or side to side or front to rear the sound tracking was very realistic. They definitely enrich the soundtrack of any game and made it more enjoyable at least for me.

Let’s talk comfort for a second. Because of their unique design I was able to wear them for hours with little or no discomfort at all. Most headphones create pressure against your head and are uncomfortable after a short time, at least for me. The way these are designed they exert very little pressure against the side of your head and the ear cups are nicely padded as well as the head piece. Weighing in at 11.24 ounces they are lightweight compared to some head phones I have used.

Another nice feature is the length of the cable. It measures a long 9.8 feet or 300cm. The microphone is easily attached to the headset cable by means of a molded clip and comes with three cable clips to keep it aligned with the headset cable. This helps to keep the microphone cable out of your way while gaming. You can adjust the microphone position on the headset cable to the best position for you. I had to adjust it several times to get it just right.

If you’re looking for a great sounding pair of surround sound headphones then look no farther, you’ve found them. The sound quality is excellent for any activity from gaming to watching movies to my favorite, listening to music. They are very comfortable to wear for extended periods of time. For a set of surround sound headphones in the $50.00 USD and under price range these can’t be beat.
