February 16, 2005 — Octapixx Worldwide, a global distributor of fine television programming and ancillary rights, today announced representatives from its Games Division will be attending the upcoming Game Developer Conference (GDC) in San Francisco next month.
Octapixx Games is single-mindedly focused on growing the market for independent computer- and video-games. The company’s mission is to help developers break free from the traditional publishing model, and help smaller game publishers survive in a hostile competitive market.
“There are hundreds, possibly thousands, of independent developers who will be attending GDC and are perfectly capable of self-publishing their next game,” says Brian Gladman, Vice President of Octapixx’s Game Division. “It is not rocket science, but it is certainly a great deal of hard work, and you do need to know the ins and outs of the business. Octapixx is uniquely positioned to be able to help these developers.”
Octapixx is planning to meet with developers who have not yet signed publishing agreements for their upcoming games. For more information, visit www.octapixx.com/games, or to make a GDC appointment, contact [email protected].
