The Elder Scrolls Online Hits the PC & Mac on April 4, Console Releases to Come in June

It’s official: The Elder Scrolls Online launches on April 4, 2014¬†on the PC & Mac, and the PS4 and Xbox One two months later. These dates pit the launch at just about two years since the game was first announced.

As with most games which are set to launch in a couple of months, Bethesda is planning to spend its remaining time until launch polishing the game to a shiny finish. Game director Matt Firor had this to say:

Game development is coming along very well. We completed major systems development, and are focusing on making this the Elder Scrolls game you expect: polishing the hundreds and hundreds of hours of content, making combat even more fun and responsive, fixing quest issues, and much, much more. In fact, we plan on spending the next few months before launch reacting to the latest feedback from internal and external testers and gameplay data we have collected.
