When entering the world of Defiance for the first time, it’s wise to take everything you know about MMOs and purge it from memory. This is a game that strives to be a bit different, and the fact that the entire game can be completed solo and has no leveling system is a good hint to that. But the important question: is it worth your time?

A single-player poker game might not sound too exciting at first, but Telltale Games has done a fine job of spicing things up. The last game I would have ever expected to see released this month on Steam was Duke Nukem 3D, but lo and behold, it’s here. Dubbed the “Megaton Edition”, this one packs in upscaled graphics, three add-on packs and soon, multiplayer. Oh, and achievements. Let’s check it out, and compare it to the classic version and the HRP.
