GOG.com Kicks Off Latest Holiday Sale, Gives Duke Nukem 3D Away for Free

The holidays can be exciting, but for PC gamers, there’s one thing that’s guaranteed to make them even more so: game sales! Valve has become renowned for holding some of the best PC game sales on the planet, but GOG.com is no slouch, especially after the launch of this current one. A huge portion of the catalog has been marked 50% off, and each day, the company will be offering selected theme titles at 75% off.

Helping to celebrate this… celebration, is a giveaway. For the next 48 hours, you’ll be able to snatch a 100% free copy of Duke Nukem 3D: Atomic Edition. Did I mention that it’s free? What I recommend? Grab it, and then peruse¬†our look at the high-res pack, also free.¬†Come get some!

On a related note, every game I could find on the service built using Duke Nukem 3D‘s Build engine is also marked down. That includes Shadow Warrior and Blood. Further, even the just-released Duke Nukem 1 + 2 combo has been marked down 50%. It’s a good thing these games are cheap, because I have a feeling I’ll be beefing up my GOG shelf.

During the holiday sale, GOG.com promises to have many giveaways and contests, so if you want to get in on the action, you can check the site on a daily basis and follow the company on Twitter.
