A Look At The Best Tech Deals From Amazon’s 2017 Prime Day Sale

As has become tradition, Amazon has just kicked off a massive summer sale it likes to call “Prime Day” – one that happens to be aptly named as an Amazon Prime subscription is required to take advantage. If you don’t have Prime, and don’t necessarily want it, you could sign up for a free trial at checkout (you’ll just want to make sure that you set a reminder to cancel it before the 30 days are up!). Even if you’ve claimed a free trial before, you may want to check again, as Amazon seems to occasionally reset the timer.

Admittedly, Amazon’s Prime Day is probably the least-exciting “big” annual sale, and this year doesn’t change that perception at all. There are still a number of good deals to be had, but some scouring needs to be done, and there are some obvious themes. Want good PC peripherals? Corsair might as well be the only brand that exists on Amazon today. For good storage deals, Seagate dominates.

To highlight one deal in particular that’s downright amazing, it’s the Oculus Rift + Touch Controllers that includes a $100 Amazon Gift Card for the exact same $399 price that hit the web yesterday. Ignoring the gift card, that’s an entire VR kit for a meager $300. That’s incredible, but so too is the challenge of securing one of these bundles.
