Actionproof’s Bozon Apple Watch Dock Review

Actionproof is a company that I was not familiar with before now. It offers a few different products, all geared around protecting and augmenting your digital lifestyle. Currently the company offers this Bozon Apple Watch dock that we are reviewing today, it also offers a couple of different phone cases, and a bumper case for the Apple Watch.

The Bozon dock for the Apple Watch is quite an odd, yet cute little thing. It is made from a premium silicone material that is quite soft and nice feeling. The Bozon is currently only offered in black.

There are many solutions out there for charging your Apple Watch. Personally, I have found that having a dock is almost a requirement, as the magnetic connection that the charger uses on the Watch is a bit fragile. You have to be very careful to not disconnect the charger from the Watch when connecting the charger and setting the Watch down, so a dock that keeps the charging apparatus stationary is a definite plus.

One great feature the Bozon sports is that you can tuck away almost all of the cord that comes with the charging puck. It is a very long cord, which is unusual for Apple, as the phone charging cables are generally very short. The cord is easily tucked into the body of the dock, as it passes through the plug on one of the back legs, keeping your cable neatly at the length you desire. If you need it longer, just pull some more cord out of the plug.

The main charging puck is held in tightly, but not too tightly, in the main cavity of the dock. This seemed to work well, and keeps a tight enough hold on the charging puck to keep it in place.

The best part of having a charging dock like this, is when the Apple Watch is placed horizontally, it puts the Watch in “Nightstand Mode” which changes the display to more of an alarm clock display.

Overall, this is a great product; it has a small footprint, it is made well, and is fairly minimalistic in appearance and design, something I personally covet.
