Our friends over at FinalWire have today released the latest major version of their AIDA64 system utility, 4.0, and while not much looks different on the surface, it’s always about what’s under-the-hood with a tool like this.
4.0 introduces support for a bunch of current and upcoming hardware, including AMD’s and NVIDIA’s latest GPU lineup (Quadro and Tesla included), Intel’s Bay Trail SoC, AMD’s Kaveri and Bald Eagle, and OCZ’s and Samsung’s latest SSDs.
On the benchmarks front, that’s where much of the added support for Kaveri, Bald Eagle and Bay Trail has gone. In addition, OpenCL GPGPU benchmarks have been added that support a wide-range of configurations (even differing GPUs installed in the same machine), including multi-GPU, IGP and so forth.
For those with a Razer Blade laptop, or DeathStalker or SWTOR keyboard, you’ll be happy to know that support for their LCDs have been added here, and in addition, further optimizations have been made for the LCD on Logitech’s G19 keyboard.
As before, the common home ‘Extreme’ version of the app costs $39.95, which provides updates and support for 12 months. After that, upgrades can be had for discounted prices – more so if you opt for a larger number of years.
