AMD’s Holding a ‘Fan Day’ in San Francisco this Coming Saturday

In or around San Francisco this weekend? If so, you’ll want to make a special trip to hit-up AMD’s “Fan Day” at City View in the Metreon. At the event, you can expect to see all things AMD on display along with other things from the company’s partners. Perhaps AMD itself puts it best:

“This year’s event will give a hands-on experience with some of the latest and greatest technologies. The new 2013 line up of AMD A-Series processors will be ready for a test drive! Amazing AMD Radeon Graphics will be on display. Fans can come play and compete on some of the newest game titles available, and some that aren’t available yet. Additionally, some of our key partners will be in attendance to showcase their technologies, games and newest innovations, including VIZIO, IGN, Ubisoft, Sapphire and Logitech. “

Best part: prizes. The first 1,000 people in the door will receive an unlocked AMD APU, and the first 120 will also receive an A85X motherboard. Well, alright, the other cool part is that the developers of BioShock Infinite, Far Cry 3, Tomb Raider and other games will also be around to answer questions. And modded PCs. And other giveaways from Corsair and GIGABYTE. And… do you need more reason?
