Looking for a large monitor at a good price and can deal with a modest resolution? If so, AOC’s just-released i2757fh might be for you. It features an IPS anti-glare panel, a ridiculously-thin 2mm bezel, 5ms response time, 50,000,000:1 contrast ratio, a brightness of 250cd/m2, built-in speakers and even a detachable stand. All that for an MSRP of $349. But it gets better.
In a press release we were sent yesterday, it’s mentioned that Best Buy is selling the monitor at a special price of $299.99, but in checking the site today, we found that it’s actually $269.99.
Is there a catch? Well, kind of. The display features a resolution of 1920×1080, which is quite lackluster compared to the 2560×1440 seen on most 27″ displays. If this same display offered that resolution and cost even $100 more, it’d be quite a bargain. But at the same time, for those who yearn for a 3×1 setup, it’s very hard to scoff at three of these displays. 3 x 27″ @ 5760×1080 for less than $900? Yes, please.
