ASUS’ Gladius Gaming Mouse Offers A Neat Trick: Replaceable Switches

With countless companies disappearing after a short while on the market, ASUS has been a pillar of the computing industry since early 1989. Never afraid to try new things, its product offerings span a wide range, including everything from motherboards to routers. We’ve looked at its PC cases, motherboards, video cards, routers, laptops, audio gear, etc… ASUS really puts it out.

One of the company’s most recognizable brands is Republic of Gamers, or RoG. Focusing its efforts at the PC gaming community, ASUS offers a bevy of gaming products including motherboards, video cards, and peripherals. Its latest, the RoG Gladius, is an optical wired gaming mouse offering high DPI and comfortable ergonomics. Designed for right-handed gamers, the mouse offers six programmable buttons and a 6400 DPI optical sensor.

Offering up to 2GHz polling, the Gladius comes with a DPI switch that allows the user to configure up to two profiles, save them to the its built-in flash memory, and switch between the two with ease. The Gladius makes use of high-quality Omron mouse switches that are rated for at least 20 million clicks and can easily be switched out for new ones thanks to the easy-swap sockets.

Available now at all ASUS authorized resellers, the Gladius comes with an MSRP of $69 USD.
