ASUS Launches 1GB GDDR3 EN8800GT

FREMONT, CA (December 6, 2007) – ASUS®, worldwide leader in component and notebook design and manufacturing, today released the world’s first EN8800GT graphics card with 1GB of Qimonda™ memory: The EN8800GT/HTDP/1G. Rocking NVIDIA’S latest generation Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) and an unparalleled amount of memory, this card is designed to provide a feature-rich Direct®X 10 gaming and multimedia playback experience at ultra-high resolutions and maximum quality settings. Additionally, the Glaciator Fansink is quieter than generic fan sinks, making it a great choice for users who require maximum cooling without excessive fan noise.

Overclock the Shader Clock with New SmartDoctor
ASUS garners another world’s first by providing an overclocking utility that is able to tweak the Shader Clock on GPUs with SmartDoctor. With this application, users can overclock the Shader Clock and Engine Clock independently, achieving performance boosts of more 10% without having to reboot or re-flash their BIOS.
