Well well well… it looks as though producing not-so-“humble” bundles works out well for the folks over at Humble Bundle. Last fall, the Web got itself into a roar after THQ joined forces with Humble Bundle to offer up a bunch of killer games for a great price. The problem, of course, was the fact that all (or most) of the games required Windows and had DRM – two major factors that no Humble Bundle had been bound by up to that point.
If you were one of those people who swore to never buy from Humble Bundle again after that move, then you can now feel rest-assured that your decision wasn’t in vain. Yesterday, Humble Deep Silver Bundle was launched, offering up Saints Row: The Third, Saints Row 2, Risen 2: Dark Waters and Sacred 2 Gold for $1+, and the addition of Dead Island GOTY and Saints Row: The Third Full Package (DLC) for spending more than the average. For those craving some Dead Island: Riptide, that can be acquired if you spend $25. All of the games, save for Saints Row 2, include soundtracks.
Judging by an entry in the Steam Database, it seems likely that Metro 2033, Risen and Sacred Citadel will be added to the bundle at some point during the sale.
For non-Windows gamers, this bundle is an insult. For the rest, it’s amazing.
