Greetings from the Central Wastelands!
We’ve had a very interesting week, garnering a nice selection of E3 awards while the beta continues its steady progression.
Auto Assault earned two awards for E3 2005, a Golden Cog (http://www.stratics.com/content/goldencogs/2005/golden_cogs_2005.php) from The Stratics Media Group for Best Gameplay, the other from TenTonHammer with an Editor’s Choice Award (http://tth.tentonhammer.com/index.php?module=ContentExpress&func=display&ceid=11&meid=33). Stratics also named Auto Assault as a runner-up for Best Sound and Best of Show; and they awarded NCsoft the Best Booth prize (with The Mutaytor doing live shows featuring Auto Assault, how you could resist?)
A number of other E3 previews were posted this week, including some favorable impressions from UpAllNightGaming (http://aa.upallnightgaming.com/content.asp?subj=pugilist), GameDaily (http://www.gamedaily.com/pc/preview/?game_id=3042&articleid=424&type=0&guidesrc=&source=00001), and WorthPlaying (http://www.worthplaying.com/article.php?sid=25743).
Site updates this week include:
• A new video interview with NetDevil President Scott “Scorch†Brown is also available in our Downloads/Movies section (http://www.autoassault.com/downloads/movies.html)
• A new Recon report that deals with the neutral faction INC and their airlifts, which are a major factor in the game. An in-depth look is available at http://www.autoassault.com/recon/recon_feature_airlift.html
• Every Friday in June we’re releasing a new MP3 from the Auto Assault soundtrack, available in our Downloads/Music section (http://www.autoassault.com/downloads/music.html)
• To stem off some questions about the Auto Assault pre-order campaign, we’ve added a new FAQ to cover most of the questions we receive about the pre-order, available at http://www.autoassault.com/community/preorder-faq.html.
• We’re proud to announce that two new sites have been added to the Fansite Depot: Metamergence (http://www.metamergence.hitart.com/) and Ianstorm (http://www.ianstorm.com/assault/)
