This year’s Computex event is proving to be one of the busiest to date, with a countless number of companies unveiling a countless number of products. Where BitFenix is concerned, the company has just unveiled four new chassis, and some of them are quite interesting, to say the least.
Inspired by the northern lights, the BitFenix Aurora is a clean-looking chassis that’s determined to show off your rig’s goods. You can have a smoked window on both sides of the chassis, which will be hugely appreciated by those who decide to choose the Aurora for modding. It also comes with a bit of bling, as well, with an RGB component that will light your SSD up in any color you want.
The BitFenix Trident also has the option of having glass on both sides, but its front makes it look a lot more like a fortress wall than a trident. BitFenix calls this one “aggressive yet elegant”, and it’s hard to disagree.
The two other chassis BitFenix unveiled are part of the Prodigy series, and both are quite interesting in their own way. The Cape is named as such due to the air intake at the top, and as with other chassis mentioned already, this one has high-quality glass that will do a good job of showing off your rig’s hardware. This is the largest chassis of the bunch (as far as I can tell), as it supports eATX motherboards, and beefy water-cooling setups.
The Prodigy Pillow… now here’s a unique-looking chassis. BitFenix says that this chassis is the “definition of elegance”, and I do agree that it’s a sweet-looking rig. As you can see in the shot below, the graphics card sits at the top of the chassis, with its front facing upward, sitting behind some curved glass.
I’m not sure why this chassis in particular has stands for extra stability, but given the slick design, this is one chassis you definitely wouldn’t want to fall over. It’s personal preference whether this is a perk or not, but the Pillow features its USB 3.0 ports on the side, rather than up front. This lends itself to the clean design of the chassis, but it’s a location that might take some getting used to.
BitFenix has offered light details on all of these news chassis, so we’re not sure about pricing, release dates, or even if all of them are even guaranteed to hit the market (the Pillow is sure to carry a nice premium if it does in fact get released).
Which do you like best?
