It can be rather frustrating when a new product you’d love to own isn’t released anywhere near you, and for many PC builders, I’m sure that sentiment was felt when Cooler Master released its Elite 110 mini-ITX chassis overseas last fall. But, that issue is soon to be remedied: Cooler Master has announced that it’s coming to North America in the months ahead.
All of Cooler Master’s Elite models are designed exclusively for mini-ITX use, but the Elite 110 differs quite a bit in size when compared to both the Elite 120 and 130 (which are almost identical in size). The Elite 110 is designed to be as small as possible, within reason, with a depth of 8.2 inches, width of 10.2 inches, and length of 11 inches. The size comparison below can help put things into perspective:
As small as it is, the Elite 110 does boast some impressive capabilities. It can handle up to 3x 3.5″ hard drives or a couple of different combinations (2x 3.5″ + 2x 2.5″ SSD; 1x 3.5″ + 3x 2.5″ SSD; or 4x 2.5″ SSD). Fan-wise, the chassis includes a 120mm unit in a space that supports a 140mm, while two more 120mm units can be installed in other locations.
One thing I love about the Elite 110 is that the USB ports (2x 3.0), power and reset buttons, and audio jacks are installed on the side, resulting in a completely clean front.
The picture below gives a glimpse of the internal arrangement – note the ability to take advantage of an all-in-one liquid cooler.
Once available, Cooler Master’s Elite 110 will retail for $49.99.
