Near the GIGABYTE exhibit (more on that later), Enermax was showing off some cool (puns intended) new PSUs and fans, plus some rather enlightening chassis designs packed with LED strips. This time, we also have lots of pictures to share too.
There were a total of six recent or brand new power supplies on show, for different form factors and market levels. Enermax have been at the power game for a long time and have a solid reputation. The opening piece is the MaxTytan, a slightly gimmicky name on the 80PLUS TITANIUM certification that it holds (94% peak efficiency).
The MaxTytan features its patented Dust Free Rotation (DFR), which is a high-speed reverse spin to eject a build up of dust within the PSU. There is also a DF switch that lets the user perform the dust cleaning whenever the unit is in operation. For a flagship product, it’s also completely modular, with a fanless design of up 55% system load (i.e. it’s silent unless under load). It also incorporates SLEEMAX cables (what a name…) which are form of tight braiding to cut down on the bulk and improve flexibility of the cables when routing.
What helps make the PSU that little bit more premium, is an integrated digital power meter with a 4-cell LED display, so you can see just how much power you’re using The MaxTytan will be available in power ranges from 750 Watts, all the way up to 1250 Watts, with availability announced some time in April.
The next PSU is the Platimax D.F. this time an 80PLUS PLATINUM certifies PSU with the same dust free technology. It too can also run in a silent fanless configuration when under 40% load for the 850/750W PSUs, and 30% load with the 1000W+ models. SLEEMAX modular cables are included too. What makes the Platimax different is the compactness, as they are only 16cm in-depth, making them the most compact kilowatt certified PSUs on the market.
The next PSU is the DIGIFANLESS, with its main trick hidden in the name. It’s a 550W completely silent, fanless PSU with an impressive 80PLUS PLATINUM certification, making it the highest power, fanless PSU on the market. It also features digital integration with a software package that lets you monitor power levels, voltages and power consumption.
For you Mini-ITX builders out there, Enermax has a very compact SFX power supply with the REVOLUTION SFX, with power rates of 550W and 650W, in a standard 100mm chassis depth. The cables are modular with a very flexible but flat wrapping, making them easier to use in tight spaces. It also comes with an SFX to ATX bracket, should you wish to use the PSU in a Micro-ATX chassis. It’s can operate fanless to 30% load too.
At the entry-level, there is a GOLD certified REVOLUTION DUO, which is a dual fan, performance cooling PSU that’s built for systems that rely on the PSU as the main system exhaust. It’s predominantly meant for system integrators that make use of shrouding to control air flow. The RevoBron is a BRONZE certified low-end PSU that makes use of Enermax’s DFR cleaning system.
If you don’t care about silence, the D.F.Storm is for you. These 3500RPM industrial fans can push some serious air, thanks to its twisted bearings and unique blade shape, allowing 30% more airflow for a given RPM. D.F.Pressure are lower-speed (2000RPM) high pressure fans that are suitable for radiators and hard drive cages, while the D.F.Vegas fans are for those that love a light show, with 12 LEDs that can sparkle or flash.
For those that love RGB, Enermax has quite the chassis for you. With a Tron-inspired front panel, the SABERY is Enermax’s new flagship case design. It’s a mid-tower design with an appetite for radiators, supporting 360/280 and 240mm mounts. The PSU is tucked behind a shroud to keep air flow clean and quiet. To show off all the pretty internals and LEDs, the SABERY comes with a large window panel.
For those after something a little smaller, the Steelwing is a cool, aluminum Micro-ATX case with a full-sized tempered glass side-panel. It comes pre-fitted with a 12cm LED fan, can support 120mm liquid cooling, and graphics cards up to 260mm in length.
If any of the products interests you, then most of them are either available now, or will be released some time in April.
