Late last week (yes, I’ve taken a while to talk about it), Cooler Master launched “CM University”, a site that aims to teach you about the products you’re looking to buy. We’re not talking specific models, but rather their concepts and design in general – such as the differences between mechanical keyboard switches, for example.
While CM University looks to cover everything from chassis to laptop coolers to gaming mice in the future, it’s kicked things off with a look at – you guessed it – mechanical keyboards and their switches. The guide talks about the benefits (which we’ve also covered in our mechanical keyboard reviews), and the specific differences between the five different switches that CM currently offers (Blue, Red, Brown, Black and Green).
The guide is quite good, especially with the help of animations. I look forward to seeing what other “Courses” the company ends up publishing to this site. Which would you like to see?
It’s also worth noting that CM recently kicked-off its own sub-Reddit, where announcements and other things are posted. Having trouble with an aspect of your new keyboard? This is one place to ask, where fellow CM fans or company reps can answer.
