The hottest days of the summer may be behind us, and Cooler Master wants to make sure that the temperature of your CPU follows. Not soon after the launch of the Hyper 612 S/PWM CPU cooler comes another release, the GeminII S524.
Like the original GeminII cooler, the S524 is a top-down unit, a rare sight in today’s CPU cooler market. The copper base and five heatpipes are nickle-plated to give the cooler a finished look, there is a tightly spaced array of aluminum fins and the entire cooler is topped off with a 120mm PWM controlled fan. Spinning anywhere from 800 to 1800 RPM and pushing between 34.2 to 77.7 CFM of air, the cooler can also accept 140mm fans for extra cooling.
The S524 is ready to roll on AMD AM2/Intel LGA775 and newer motherboards and mounts off center, allowing for it to be installed in just about any direction by clearing VRM heatsinks and even memory modules although there are bound to exceptions.
Available at retailers now, the new GeminII S524 should sell for about $40.
