There’s no shortage of high-quality gaming peripherals on the market, and to some, even Corsair’s own collection could be considered overwhelming. But, if there’s one thing I’m sure most of us can agree on, it’s that choice is a great thing: the more of it there is, the greater the chance you’ll wind up with something really well-suited for you. Corsair no doubt agrees, and has today amped up its portfolio further with the release of the HARPOON RGB mouse and K55 RGB keyboard.
The HARPOON RGB might be the more interesting of these two, as it costs a mere $30. This mouse sports a contoured design for enhanced comfort, and to help you increase your grip, its contoured side has a nice textured rubber surface. The mouse as a whole is simple from the perspective that it doesn’t have a billion buttons: it’s kept simple but still includes important functions. It’s a gaming mouse that wouldn’t look too out-of-place in a normal workplace.
Aside from its general design, the HARPOON RGB includes RGB lighting (surprised?!), support for 6,000 DPI, an optical sensor, six programmable buttons, onboard memory, an on-the-fly DPI switcher, and Omron switches good for 20 million clicks.
The K55 RGB also includes RGB lighting as its name implies, with its lighting split into three zones. Out-of-the-box, the K55 RGB includes 10 different RGB modes. Beyond that, the keyboard includes 6 programmable macro keys on the left side of the plank, dedicated volume and multimedia keys, and a Windows Key lock. Unlike most of Corsair’s lineup, this keyboard doesn’t include mechanical switches, so its pricing should be quite alluring.
Corsair’s HARPOON RGB is available right now for $29.99; the keyboard’s pricing will have to wait until it hits store shelves in less than two weeks (22nd).
