Ahh, Good Guy Deep Silver. Understanding that gamers tend to spend a little too much time creating and customizing their game characters before getting into the action, Saints Row IV: Inauguration Station allows you to take care of it now. That means: no wasting time once the game drops, and by the looks of things, this is going to be one game where this will be appreciated.
I haven’t downloaded Inauguration Station (yet), but judging by the screens, the process of creating your character, along with the options you can tweak, are on par with what Saints Row: The Third offered – which is good. Like the example above, with SR: TT, I did spend at least a half-an-hour customizing my character at first launch, and usually I’m the type of person that just hits “Randomize” a couple of times and leaves it at that.
Inauguration Station is treated as a demo, so you can take advantage of it even if you haven’t yet pre-ordered the main game. Perhaps the best part: if you’d simply like to carry over your Saints Row: The Third character, that option exists. (Deep Silver) Volition is making more of an effort to involve the community this time around, so if you don’t like any of your own creations, you’ll be able to download some that other players have made.
But what I really, really want is: for the game to get here already.
