For anyone out there who has any interest in jailbreaking, or “hacking” their iOS devices, it is no secret that the Evad3rs team released a jailbreak for the current iOS 7.0.4 on all iOS devices some time ago. If you have been hesitant to pull that trigger, waiting on things to get smooth and tested to be working correctly, you may not want to wait any longer.
With the Beta 5 of iOS 7.1, it has been discovered that Apple has plugged many of the holes that the Evasion iOS 7 jailbreak depends on to work. As we know, once Apple releases a new version of iOS, it no longer signs the previous versions, and they are not available through iTunes. There is a way around this, but I have never had any luck doing it – having said that I haven’t invested a lot of time trying either.
If you are not current on your iOS, and or you want to have a jailbreak, you don’t want to wait any longer as the window is closing.
I have been running this jailbreak since the first day of its release. Naturally it had some problems, some of which were my fault for not proceeding with caution, but for the most part the jailbreak went smoothly.
It has been a long wait for some of our favorite jailbreak tweaks and apps to catch up with iOS 7 and especially in my case, the 64-bit A7 chip that is in my 5s. But now most of the tweaks and apps are working very smoothly, so now is as good a time as any if you are so inclined.
