Customer Reviews Mock $1,000 AudioQuest HDMI Cable

We’ve talked quite a bit in the past about overpriced cables that are just needless. Most often, a $100 cable will work just as well as a $3 one, quite literally, yet many people with padded pockets continue to get suckered in. There are of course certain scenarios where a more expensive cable might be required, but that’s often related to the distance between the TV and a receiver – a problem most people don’t have.

It seems that those people who do know what sort of rip-off expensive cables are have taken to posting hilarious reviews about one such offering: the AudioQuest “Diamond” 3.3′ HDMI cable. Sounds cool, looks cool, but isn’t cool with a $1,000 price-tag. That’s right… $1,000. As has been proven time and time again, a 3′ HDMI cable is going to offer identical performance as another 3′ HDMI cable, so this price tag is for those who are gullible or need to feel good about themselves.
