I forgot to make mention of this in our news section last week, but last Monday, we launched a contest to give away an NVIDIA 3D Vision kit, which includes the 3D Vision IR receiver and glasses, along with Samsung’s 22″ 2233RZ monitor. That monitor features a 120Hz display, which is required to deliver the full 3D experience (at least, without giving you a seizure)!
To enter, all you have to do is answer three simple questions, and that’s it. First, how important is 3D to you, for various types of media? Will the next monitor you purchase be 3D? Are in-game physics important to you? Answering these questions is all it takes, and hey, you might just win!
One thing I failed to mention on our official contest page is that for 3D Vision to work, you will absolutely need a recent NVIDIA graphics card. Unfortunately, ATI cards are left out in the dust, although that will change down the road with more generic versions of 3D technology for games. If you have a decent NVIDIA graphics card, then you should be fine. To sweeten the deal further, we’re also going to toss in a copy of both Resident Evil 5 and Batman: Arkham Asylum, which both make heavy use of 3D Vision.
Good luck to all who enter! Full contest rules at the link below.
For this contest, we’re looking to get your opinions on 3D and see just how important you think it is. For your effort, you’ll have the chance to win an NVIDIA 3D Vision Bundle, which includes both the 3D Vision kit and a 120Hz LCD monitor from Samsung. We’ll also toss in a copy of Batman: Arkham Asylum and Resident Evil 5 to help you put the kit to good use!
