Remember that feeling you got when the Battlefield 3 multiplayer trailer was released? Well, prepare to experience it again, this time with Battlefield 4. As we discovered back in June, DICE’s new Frostbite 3 engine brings a lot of new features to the table, so while the experience in BF4 is sure to be just as action-packed as it was in BF 3, there will be a variety of new ways that the game will entertain you.
If you’re able to dedicate 4 minutes to watching a video, this one is well worth it:
Something about being in Shanghai and causing an entire skyscraper to collapse kind of gets me excited. Should I be concerned about that? Because it’s something I could see me wanting to do again, and again. Or how about hopping into a tank to create a path through a building and into a street? I’d make for a great seeker in hide & seek! Or what about driving a warship up onto the shore? Oh geez – Battlefield 4 really does have the potential to be one of the best online FPSes ever.

Announced just the other day, EA will be launching an open beta for Battlefield 4 on October 1, affecting the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The game will then launch on October 29 for all three platforms, with the next-gen console releases to happen at the same time the consoles themselves are released.
Will you be picking up Battlefield 4? Or are you more of a Call of Duty gamer?
