Google’s been taking advantage of its Street View service for a while to tease Doctor Who fans with randomly placed TARDIS police boxes around the UK, but this latest easter egg is without question the best. If you stroll along Earl’s Court Rd. in London, you’ll spot TARDISĀ (which for the record, is actually there), and rather than just see a couple of arrows for navigation, there’s a new double-arrow that brings you inside.
As you might have guessed, this police box is most definitely bigger on the inside. Once in, you’re able to explore the entire control room, but it doesn’t seem like there’s much to do except zoom into the instrumentation, and you know, feel like you’re inside the TARDIS.
I can’t help but wonder how long this easter egg has existed before someone spotted it… those double-arrows aren’t exactly the easiest to spot. I wonder even more if there are other easter eggs like this that remain unfound!
