Telltale Games took advantage of a guest spot at the official PlayStation Blog to give us some updates on its episodic adventure Tales from the Borderlands, and the best part is that we have some new screenshots to gawk at.
Telltale hasn’t said how many episodes there are going to be with this title, and it’s hard to gauge from its past titles since the number has varied. Nonetheless, each one on its own will cost $5, but the kit and caboodle can be had with the (currently unpriced) season pass.
One of the coolest pieces of information to come from this post is the fact that loot earned in the game can be used in other areas of the Borderlands franchise, although as you’d expect, specific titles are not mentioned. Given the timing, I’d anticipate that the tie-in will have to do with the upcoming Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.
Across the season, decisions you make could change the way the story progresses, so unlike a typical Borderlands title, you might actually want to pay attention to the story and take certain actions accordingly. A teaser is mentioned that the game takes place after the events of the second game, where Handsome Jack is gone. “Or is he?” Well, he’s in the top-most screenshot, so I think that answers that question.
There’s still no release date for the first episode, but if things go well, we should see it sometime this summer.
