The folks at Fnatic have just released two new peripherals that aim to help gamers improve their skill – or at least their enjoyment. The Clutch G1 gaming mouse isn’t littered with a billion buttons, but is instead designed to offer what most gamers actually need, while making it easy to use and dressing it with a clean aesthetic. It hits its mark, we’d say.
We’ve actually had the Clutch G1 in our lab for testing for the past few weeks, so expect a full review soon. While the mouse might look a little simple compared to other more advanced models on the market, it’s definitely by design. The matte finish was chosen in lieu of a glossy one to improve grip, and probably reduce the amount of dirt build-up, as well. The mouse also features a thick scroll wheel for improved feedback, and an RGB LED that can be tweaked to any color you could dream up.
Other perks of the Clutch G1 include a drag-resistant cord, which is elevated 2mm, Omron switches, a Pixart ADNS 3310 optical sensor, 256KB of onboard memory, and support for up to 5000 CPI (counts per inch).
The other product in the shot above is the Duel TMA-2 headset, which Fnatic promises will feature top-rate audio quality for both gaming and music. Similar to the Clutch G1 mouse, the TMA-2 headphones sport a soft-rubber coated aesthetic, and include two different types of earcups so that you can use whichever set feels more comfortable.
Fnatic notes that the Duel TMA-2 headset supports the PS4 and Xbox One in addition to the PC, so this one headset could suit setups quite well that can flick between the PC and PS4 (which is what I do – I use the same mic and headphone (and monitor) for both platforms).
For some reason, specs haven’t been revealed for the Duel TMA-2, nor is the product even listed on Fnatic’s official website. What we do know, though, is that the headset will retail for $199.99, while the Clutch G1 mouse will retail for $69.99. You can expect both to hit etail very, very soon.
