The campaign website takes advantage of the ability to sign in through your Steam account, so it can automatically detect which games you own, and which you don’t. This will help you take easier advantage of the sale. After filtering with “Not Owned”, you can select 3 (or more) games, and then hit the “Request X Coupons” button at the bottom.
The coupons come in the form of serial codes which must be activated on Steam, and once claimed, they appear in your inventory like any other coupon:
Taking advantage of a coupon is as simple as going to the respective game’s page and adding it to the cart. While you can purchase games as a gift, it will not actually count as a purchase according to Huge Seal due to technical limitations.
Once three games are purchased, you can refresh the Huge Seal website and see the ‘Games Purchased’ ticker up top updated. At that point, you’ll be able to click a button to be given a game at random:
Given the fact I received a Frozenbyte game, it could be that those games are prioritized if you don’t own them, but it’s hard to speculate over a single purchase (Note: Frozenbyte’s Johannes has commented below to note that this is off-the-mark). Either way, I scored a couple of fantastic games for likewise fantastic prices, so I’m pleased as a peach.
