It’s not all too often that Futuremark updates its line of products, but last week, that rare occurrence happened, and all of its current products are affected. That goes for 3DMark Vantage, 3Dmark 06, 3Dmark 05, 3DMark 03, PCMark Vantage and PCMark 05. Sadly, no 3DMark 2001 love has been seen with the last batch of updates for all those old-school faithfuls that refuse to let the classic go.
The improvements made to each benchmark won’t effect the overall scores, but will improve stability. Some other bonuses are increased hardware detection, which includes being able to detect actual GPU clock speeds, and with these latest updates, each benchmark is also fully compatible with the latest multi-core processors. Futuremark also notes that 3DMark Vantage now has significantly better load times.
You can download all of the updates right at Futuremark’s website.
The updates improve system hardware detection, fix several issues and also add improved GPU clock speed detection. For 3DMark Vantage and 3DMark06 the update makes both benchmarks fully compatible with the latest multicore processors. In addition, 3DMark Vantage now has significantly faster loading times.
