There’s sure to be a couple of overclocking events at next month’s Computex show in Taipei, but the first one to catch my eye is G.SKILL’s. Over the course of five days, twelve of the world’s best overclockers will attempt to break records on a variety of different motherboards, including those from MSI, ASUS, EVGA, GIGABYTE, and ASRock.
Where things get interesting is that G.SKILL’s own overclockers, ViVi, Hiwa, and Young Pro, will compete each day, whereas all of the others will only compete if their official motherboard brand is being used that day. For example, K|ngp|n will be the lone non-G.SKILL overclocker on the EVGA day, while GIGABYTE’s day will have Dinos22, HiCookie, and Sofos. You can see the official schedule below:
It goes without saying that G.SKILL’s overclocking team has a busy schedule ahead of them.
At the moment, there doesn’t seem to be an official place to watch the overclocking competition live, but we’ll be sure to send out a note to our social media locations at around the time the competition starts. It’s surely going to be broadcast live somewhere.
