GOG.com Begins Accepting Select CD Keys To ‘Reclaim Your Games’ On The Service

Well, this isn’t something I ever expected to see. Late last week, GOG.com announced that it’s begun allowing owners of old-school CD keys to submit them to the site to unlock the same game on the service – all at no cost.

Perhaps not surprisingly, the current list of supported titles is modest:

CIS & Russian Territories

• Mount & Blade: Warband
• Mount & Blade: With Fire & Sword Eador: Genesis
• Eador: Genesis

Worldwide

• S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl
• S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky
• S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat

Those wishing to submit a key or see if additional titles have been added can head here. On that page, it’s noted that more games are “coming soon”, though there’s no telling just how fast this list will expand. Regardless of that, it goes without saying that this is a fantastic addition to the service.
