It’s been over a week since we first talked about the latest Humble Bundle, in its third iteration, and quite a bit has happened since. Most notably, the folks behind the offer decided to make it just a bit sweeter by throwing two more games into the mix, Steel Storm and Atom Zombie Smasher, and for those who pay more than the average, you’ll be awarded with the Humble Bundle 2, as well.
If this all sounds ridiculous, it kind of is. We’re talking about twelve good indie games, for a mere minimum price of $5.42 (at the time of writing). In addition to the two mentioned above, the others include Crayon Physics Deluxe, Cogs, VVVVVV, Hammerfight, And Yet It Moves, and HB2 members Braid, Cortex Command, Machinarium, Osmos and Revenge of the Titans.
Best part? Every single one of these games works great under Windows, Mac OS X and Linux, and most can be added to Steam or Desura via the platform of your choice (Linux doesn’t support Steam, but Desura should be coming soon).
Since these games were added in, and the average price point becoming more tempting, the averages have gone up for all three OSes. Windows, which had an average of $3.86 at the time of our last news post, has jumped to $4.49, while Mac OS X jumped from $6.42 to $7.19, and Linux from $11.08 to $11.81.
The campaign total has reached just over $1.5 million, and at the time of writing, we have 4 days to go. Will we see $2 million?
