Digital health products have exploded over the past couple of years, and at CES, there was no shortage of related offerings to look at. One company’s portfolio stood out to me more than the others, and it might have its apt name to thank.
iHealth offers a huge selection of different health products, but those who monitor their blood pressure often would do well to pay attention to the View Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor.
Using a regular blood pressure monitor isn’t exactly a hassle, but their featuresets tend to be barebone. The View Wrist is anything but. With it, you can either get readings on your smartphone or the device itself, quickly and easily.
Even better, once you strap the device on your wrist, it will tell you if you should adjust it so that it can improve its readings.
You don’t have to use a smartphone with this product if you don’t want to, but if you do, you’ll be able to look at your statistics over time, and even share them if you need to. You don’t have to worry about syncing every day, either, since the wrist band itself can store up to 120 results until it needs to be flushed.
Perhaps most useful here is that the app can analyze the results and give you information based on what it finds. The company notes that these results are analyzed in accordance with World Health Organization recommendations.
The iHealth View Wrist Blood Pressure Monitor is set to become available in April for $79.99. The MyVitals app will be exclusive to iOS and Android.
