Need a tonne of storage in the smallest form factor possible? Kingston has you covered with its new line-up of insanely high capacity SD and microSD cards. With capacities up to 128GB with a microSDXC card, and 256GB with an SDXC card, that’s some seriously big… and small, storage. To make things even better, they’re all Class 10 UHS-1, meaning speeds of 90MB/s read and 45MB/s write are available, so photographers and 3D video enthusiasts, take note.
The microSD card will start from 4GB and work its way up to an incredible 128GB, with adapters available; the SD cards start from 16GB. Just make note that SDXC and SDHC are not compatible with standard SD technologies, so if you are hoping to upgrade an old phone, these high capacities may not work. Pricing isn’t currently available, although expect some seriously pricey numbers to begin with.
Now if only more mobile devices allowed people to use SD cards in the first place. If you are lucky enough to have an Android-based mobile with an SD slot, and would like to learn how to transfer apps over, be sure to check out our guide.
