The folks over at Humble Bundle have just wrapped-up what has become their most successful bundle, featuring a slew of popular EA titles. Given the games on offer, it really was of no surprise that the bundle went on to generate over $10 million in revenue, and given the fact that almost all of it is going to charity, I’d consider that nothing short of amazing.
Well, to take a little break from offering AAA game titles in the main bundle, today’s bundle brings comedy to the mix. As the title suggests, Louis C.K. and Patrice O’Neal is being featured here, which is sure to catch some eyeballs, but other great comedians can be found as well. The full list is as follows:
- Maria Bamford – The Special Special Special
- Tig Notaro – Live
- Hannibal Buress – My Name is Hannibal
- Jim Norton – Please Be Offended
- Louis C.K. – Live at the Beacon Theater (Unlocked if avg $ is met)
- Patrice O’Neal – Unreleased (Unlocked if avg $ is met)
- Patrice O’Neal – Mr. P (Unlocked if avg $ is met)
As always, the base titles can be had for any value you choose, but be warned, if you try to spend less than a dollar, you’ll be ridiculed. All of the titles are completely DRM-free and are offered to you in both audio and video format. At the moment, the top three comedies can be had if you spend more than $7.61 (this value will change throughout the campaign).
Offering artists like Louis C.K. and Patrice O’Neal in the unlock tier is unquestionably smart given that they’re going to be the most attractive of the bunch (I admit I haven’t seen the other comedies), and generally speaking, both men are well-worth taking a few hours out of your day to listen to.
You might recall that back in late 2011, we talked about Louis’ openness to sell his comedies himself, and at very reasonable prices. With his entry into the latest Humble Bundle, it’s clear that his opinions certainly haven’t changed.
Update: Not all of the comedies offered are available in video form. Icons underneath each show will tell you whether it’s audio or video, with Louis’ special being the only one that’s offered in both formats.
