The folks behind Humble Bundle have just released a new collection of games up for grabs (err… for cheaper prices), and this time there’s a twist. In addition to the Windows, Mac OS X and Linux support we’ve come to expect, Android has been added on as an additional platform this time around (sorry, iOS fans). I’m not quite sure at this point how the games are sent to your phone, but if previous HB’s are anything to go by, it won’t be hard.
This bundle features a total of four games, but the fourth one, World of Goo, can only be obtained if you spend at least the average price (which at the time of writing is $5.79 USD). The three regular games include EDGE, Osmos and Anomaly.
As always, all games are completely DRM-free, and according to the site, all respective soundtracks are included for free. At the time of writing, about 50,000 bundles have been sold, with Windows users paying an average of $5.24, Mac OS X users $6.76, and Linux users $7.77 (yes, really).
With the focus on Android here, I am sure many iOS users are a little perturbed, and understandably so. If I had to guess, the fact that iOS isn’t included is simply because iTunes doesn’t offer apps in a DRM-free format. Plus, iTunes might not be setup for promotions quite like this. Hopefully this will change in the future.
