Logitech’s G Pro Gaming Mouse might have a simple name, and it might look simple, but it’s far from being a bland product. The company targets this mouse at the eSports crowd and says that it includes the best features from its popular G100s and G303 mice. It’s also been developed with the help of pro eSports players, which really seems like more of a requirement nowadays, rather than an option. Who better to design a product than those who use them so often, and in the most strenuous ways possible?
One of the biggest selling-points of the G Pro is its simple, no-nonsense design. It’s meant to be very comfortable, and easy-to-use. It also looks pretty sharp, as well.
Under the hood of the G Pro is a PWM3366 sensor, which is often regarded as being the absolute best out there. This is one of the features carried over from the G303, as it provides extremely precise tracking, and a broad DPI range (200-12,000).
To help speed up actions, the left and right mouse buttons use a metal spring design that increases reliability and reduces the amount of force required to click.
For serious eSports gamers – those who play in tournaments – the mouse can be used driver-less, with the profiles stored on the mouse itself. Those profiles will include DPI settings, button assignments, and lighting options. Since macros were not mentioned, it seems likely that this mouse foregoes that feature, which is understandable as macros are not allowed in most tournaments.
Those interested in picking up a G Pro mouse can do so before the end of the month. It’ll set you back $69.99 USD or €79.95.
Addendum: Logitech’s press release stated incorrect Euro pricing; the updated price has been reflected in this post.
