As the mechanical keyboard revolution rages, Logitech has added a new RGB gaming keyboard to its stable of gaming products. With the G810 Orion Spectrum, Logitech looks to separate itself from the crowd by using its own exclusive Romer-G mechanical switches. These switches promise 25 percent faster actuation than a standard gaming keyboard.
“We met with dozens of gamers over the last year and a half and asked them what they wanted in a gaming keyboard,” said Ujesh Desai, vice president and general manager of gaming at Logitech. “The result is the G810 Orion Spectrum, a clean, sophisticated design that’s focused on delivering pure performance.”
One of the exciting features that most keyboards now offer is RGB lighting. Offering 16.8 million colors, the G810 Orion Spectrum’s lighting can be synced with other Logitech gaming gear. With custom, pre-set lighting profiles for over 300 games, Logitech has done its homework to bring a broad range of game support.
Another feature of the G810 Orion Spectrum is a set of dedicated media controls that can be used to play, pause, and mute music and videos instantly. A roller wheel can be used to adjust the volume or skip to another track with the touch of a button.
The Logitech G810 Orion Spectrum RGB mechanical keyboard is expected to be available in the U.S. and Europe beginning February 2016 for a suggested retail price of $159.
