If you’re a game streamer, or are hoping to become one, Logitech now gives you a great place to start – as long as your intentions are to be seen in the stream. The company’s new C922 Pro Stream webcam is specifically designed to cater to the needs of those who stream their games on any of the myriad services available, guaranteed to deliver a smooth 60 FPS.
For the price of $100, the C922 can handle recording at either 1080p or 720p, but it’s only with the latter that you will attain 60 FPS. That said, 720p is likely to be suitable enough if you want to enjoy 60 FPS, as your mug is going to be resized down anyway to one corner.
Logitech is offering two different bundles of its C922, both of which cost the same $100. If you buy the camera through Best Buy, you’ll get the tripod and a 3-month subscription to XSplit, whereas if you purchase it through Amazon, you’ll get a 6-month license but no tripod (something tells us that the tripod will be really useful).
The C922 is guaranteed to work well with the most popular streaming software, including Xsplit (which should be obvious), as well as OBS. The camera features automatic low-light correction and a sharp autofocus, as well as a noise-canceling microphone – should you want to forego wearing a headset.
Want one? Fortunately, you can buy one today, although it only seems to be available through Logitech’s own site, matching the bundle Best Buy also offers (which again, seems like the better one to us).
