Desktops are so passé, that giant tower on the floor or hidden away in a cupboard can take up a lot of space, leaving less room for things that matter – like a giant 34-inch ultra-wide 4K curved display. So MAINGER took said display, and bolted every imaginable high-end desktop component inside of, including either an Intel 8-Core Extreme Edition CPU, or if you’re feeling adventurous, and 18-Core Xeon.
All-In-One solutions combine the desktop tower into the monitor, saving space and making the whole thing much more elegant. Historically though, these AIOs have to sacrifice performance due to heat and size constraints, so when a company comes along and shoves some of the most high-end PC hardware into the back of a monitor, it’s worth pay attention.
The MAINGEAR ALPHA 34, is a monstrous 34-inch AIO with some seriously impressive specs thrown in the back. The specs aren’t limited to the CPU, as you can fit it with full desktop graphics, such as an NVIDIA Titan X, AMD 390X and Fury, including professional Workstation graphics cards as well (Quadros and Fire Pros).
For storage, super-fast Samsung 950 Pro M.2 NVME SSDs are available. There isn’t enough space for more standard mechanical 3.5" HDDs, but you can still use 2TB 2.5" HDDs, or go all out with SSDs instead.
It’s certainly an impressive beast, but expect a hefty price tag to match. While the ‘basic’ versions of the ALPHA 34 start at under $2000, prices can quickly climb to well over $10k for the workstation models.
